Naturally, protection of the environment is an important issue for all of us. All our products come from many different suppliers in and around Indonesia and India. Wherever possible we deal direct with craftsmen and women who use materials from renewable sources and fashion them with regard for the environment. The craftspeople we deal with are masters in their respective arts and we ensure that all monies go direct to them, their families and their employees and not to fat cat conglomerates. In some cases profits go towards improving the environment of these people, such as schooling for their children.

No Children are employed in any of our suppliers workshops.

Batik Indah offer a travelling exhibition lorry service where, by appointment, you can view our wonderful products in the flesh.

We aim to visit our customers within mainland Britain every 4-6 weeks, where samples of all stock can be viewed in an attractive environment at the customers own leisure, outside their own premises, at a time convenient to them. The exhibition vehicle is regularly refitted to showcase new stock as it comes in, or tailored to suit a customer’s particular stock preferences. This allows them to view before they buy and be advised by one of our personable salesmen. Any orders placed are delivered the following week. By doing business in this way it allows us to maintain a personal face to face relationship with our customers.
