Sensei Rob Jones started his martial arts training back in January 2000. He started kickboxing under the undefeated world champion Clive Parkinson of the International Kickboxing Federation (IKBKFO). Unfortunately he only reached yellow belt grade before the club stopped.
Soon after he started training Ashiita-Kai freestyle karate with Sensei Kevin Davey, around March 2000 as well as some Jujiitsu with Kevin (mixed in with the normal training) and went to the ground fighting training a little whilst also attending various seminars, most noticeably with Billy Doak.
Over the years Robs style had improved considerably and seen him win some prestigious titles in both semi contact and light continuous events throughout the south west as well as being invited to compete in the prestigious Battle of the Celts in October 2007.
Rob finally attained his 1st degree black belt in December 2007 and looks forward to more competition successes in the forthcoming year.
